Life Like Violence
Synopsis:
We were tasked with designing and animating a music video for David Handler’s title track off his debut album. Life Like Violence ca. 2003, or : Untitled Caprice, the debut single from composer David Handler, is an audio collage about betrayal. An earnest, heart-on-sleeve avowal in the form of a rehearsed voicemail is scorned and scraped by the sound of sex and its beguiling late 19th-century Spanish guitar accompaniment. The imaginary, one-sided conversation obsessively layers the message version on top of version, as Handler puts it:
“…juxtaposing love and lust; one so broken, the other so satisfied.”
