About

Studio ADZ is the New York based studio space of award winning artist and filmmaker Andrew D. Zimbelman. Originally trained as a fine artist in drawing and painting, he developed a love for film and animation throughout his undergrad and graduate education. Since receiving his MFA from CalArts in Experimental Animation, Andrew has worked as a director, animator and illustrator for a wide range of clients such as HBO, NBC, Adult Swim, The United Nations, AdoptUSKids, TED Ed, and Google, to name a few.

His work has been nominated for an Emmy and been featured in Fast Company, Animation Magazine, NBC News Digital, Creative Boom, and Motionographer.

Driven by a passion for design, story, and motion, Andrew crafts visually compelling narratives for brands and social causes alike. With the help of his producers and studio production partners he assembles bespoke teams to fit each project, ensuring every story is told with impact.

Beyond client work, his independent films and artwork have earned global acclaim, winning awards and appearing in exhibitions and festivals worldwide.
